Dear Friend,

Life is not about striving and getting. It’s about serving and giving.

Sooner or later, each one of us will realize: Life is not about us. Everything we have, including our next breath, is because of God’s generosity. God wants us to be like him—and he gave himself away in love.

The Bible says, “If you try to hang on to your life, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for my sake and for the sake of the Good News, you will save it” (Mark 8:35 NLT).

Most people want to leave a legacy when they die, to leave something behind that outlasts them. The only way to create a lasting legacy is through serving and giving in love. You’re doing those things every time you accept people unconditionally, encourage people continually, and assist people eagerly.

Jesus is the ultimate example of creating a lasting legacy. He built it by living a life of service and generosity—and you do the same when you support the mission of Daily Hope.

It’s exciting that we get to build a lasting legacy together through Daily Hope as we hold out the Good News to a world in need, and I’m so grateful you’re on this mission with me!
