Dear Friend,

Joy is the settled assurance that God is in control of every detail of our lives. No matter how much uncertainty is in our world right now, joy is the quiet confidence that ultimately everything will be all right.

And God wants you to live with this confident joy today.

The Bible says, “May all who search for you be filled with joy and gladness in you. May those who love your salvation repeatedly shout, ‘God is great!’” (Psalm 70:4 NLT).

As you head into the holiday season, I’d like to remind you of three things that will never change—truths that will make joy possible both now and throughout the year ahead:

• God’s Word will always be the truth.
• God will never stop loving you.
• Nothing can change God’s plan and purpose for your life.

I pray these promises encourage you today, and especially throughout this holiday season.
